Alameda and Chase Bike Repair Station and Shade Shelter
We installed a new Pocket Park on the north side of Alameda at Chase, featuring a shade structure, benches, a trash can, and a bike repair station. Users of the improved 10ft wide multi-use path along Alameda Ave. can use this shade structure to improve their commutes and recreation!
Name Our Newly Illuminated Bike Station and Shade Shelter!
The Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District and Alameda Connects is thrilled to announce a naming contest for our newly improved bike repair station and shade shelter at Alameda and Chase! Thanks to the recent installation of solar lights, this spot is now brighter and safer, offering both a place to fix your bike and comfortably rest. We’ve reduced previous issues like vandalism and loitering, and we’re working on a clever solution to keep those bike repair tools on site. Now, we need your help to give this fantastic community hub a name that truly captures its spirit—something a little more exciting than Alameda and Chase Bike Repair Station and Shade Shelter.
We’re looking for creative, memorable, and unique suggestions. Just please spare us from the endless Benchy McBenchface jokes! We envision a vibrant space where cyclists can connect, share tips, and inspire one another to explore the beautiful trails of Lakewood. Join us in making this park a cornerstone of our community, where every ride begins and ends with a smile!
